Retired Aurigny pilot Sally Barber has been sworn-in to replace Geoff Ireland. During a court ceremony, Sally Barber presented her warrant, signed by Jack Straw the Lord High Chancellor and Secretary of State for the Ministry of Justice, and took the formal oath of office. In welcoming Jurat Barber, Court Chairman Jurat Colin Partridge described the office of Jurat as 'one of the highest honours which can be bestowed on a citizen of Alderney'.
